Strange Brew, Bristol

Performance at Strange Brew, Bristol, England · November 2024
“Frise Lumiere is the experimental brainchild of composer Ludovic Gerst. He wielded only a bass guitar and the drumstick he beat hungrily against it. It was raw.
Perched atop a stool in almost complete darkness, conjuring up this hypnotic monosyllabic rumble, Gerst evoked the image of a wizard both in stance and sound. It was reminiscent of guttural throat singing.”
Epigram (live report | Strange Brew, Bristol)

Mygalomorphae is the meeting of Charlotte Bisi, designer and creator of 8151 and frise lumière. She tells stories with her scarves and invites the musician to enter her universe with Thierry Jonquet’s novel Mygale. The result is a sound journey that questions the spectator about the appropriation of a book.
The performance took place during “L’e.ko de la mode” at Magasins Généraux, Pantin, an event organized by Culture(s) de Mode. L’e.ko de la mode / Pop’up, défilés, performances, DJ sets
